- LAWN MOWING

Mowing Frequency:
Frequent mowing helps a lawn resist weeds, insects and disease. Infrequent mowing causes too much grass to be removed at one time. Infrequently mowed grass also produces a lawn that looks thin, spotty or burned. As a general rule, we never cut more than one-third of the length of your grass at a time.

Mowing Height

Most cool season grass types such as fescue and bluegrass have a recommended cutting height between 2 and 3 inches. We generally cut grass at 3.25 inches because a lawn cut at this height will have a deeper root system and be more resistant to weeds and disease than shorter cut grass.

- TREE and SHRUB TRIMMING

Tree and shrub trimming is a part of our service. Shrub trimming is not only done for visual appeal but regular trimming is necessary to train the hedge to grow to its fullest capacity. Managing your hedges is critical to the success of your yard.

- MULCHING

Mulching your clippings is an excellent way to return valuable nutrients to your lawn. Finely cut clippings contain approximately 80% water, 5% nitrogen, 1% phosphorous and 2% potassium. The nitrogen component of grass clippings can provide about one-third of the yearly nitrogen requirement of a lawn. On the other hand, bagging clippings eliminates these valuable nutrients from your lawn.

We sharpen the blades on our machines daily so that our clients' lawns receive the absolute cleanest cut possible. Dull mower blades will not only make your grass appear jagged and uneven they will also make your lawn more susceptible to disease. By sharpening our mower blades daily we help prevent such things from happening.

- SODDING
The sod is expertly laid to ensure that a firm bond between the sod and the substrate is achieved. The sod is laid with careful consideration of the surrounding walkways and buildings, following gradients and curves to ensure visual and aesthetically beautiful lines.

Our sod laying team takes great care in their work, laying each piece by hand. When we have finished laying the sod, we water your new lawn, fertilize the sod, and carefully roll the new lawn to ensure that it will be perfectly level when we are through.

Dean Lawn does their mowing high, and by doing so it shades the soil and prevent heat and water from reaching the weeds. Our mowing blades cut and ensures a moist soil, a rich root system, and a vivid green color, as well as contributes to the absorption of nutrients and water
